What is Anthropos?
Anthropos is a free, multilingual AI companion that maps your cultural background to one of six archetypes and holds a conversation adapted to how you see the world. It runs in the browser, stores your profile locally, and does not require an account.
Is Anthropos free?
Yes. Anthropos is free to use. The project is supported by voluntary donations that pay for AI inference and hosting.
Do I need an account?
No. Anthropos stores your nickname, country, and cultural profile in your browser's local storage. No sign-up, no email required.
What languages does Anthropos support?
English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic — both the interface and the AI companion.
How does Anthropos know my culture?
You enter your country of origin and Anthropos looks up its cultural profile using Hofstede's six dimensions. Eight follow-up scenarios refine that profile.
What are the six cultural archetypes?
The Autonomous Navigator, the Relational Guardian, the Patient Architect, the Spontaneous Explorer, the Hierarchical Diplomat, and the Cultural Equilibrist.
Is Anthropos a personality test?
No. Anthropos is not a clinical assessment. It is a cross-cultural mirror grounded in Hofstede, Schwartz, and GLOBE research, meant to spark reflection.
Can Anthropos replace a therapist?
No. Anthropos is a wellbeing companion, not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified clinician.
How is my data used?
Your profile stays in your device's local storage. Conversations are sent to the AI model to generate a reply and are not stored on our servers with your identity attached.
How can I support Anthropos?
The most direct way is the Donate button in the header. Donations go toward AI inference, hosting, and continued development.
